About our visitor count

Harrison uses a first-party visitor counter on this public company website. The displayed total is an estimate of unique browsers since measurement began, not a count of individual people.

How a browser is recognized

On a counted visit, the website sets a random identifier in the __Host-HARRISON_VISITOR cookie. It is sent only to this website over HTTPS, is inaccessible to page scripts, and can last up to 365 days from a counted visit. The server keeps a keyed hash of the identifier rather than the raw cookie value.

What this counter records

The counter records a browser hash, first and latest visit dates, daily deduplication records and aggregate totals. It does not store raw IP addresses, names, phone numbers, email addresses, referrers, full browsing histories or user-agent strings in its analytics database. It does not send this counter data to advertising or third-party analytics services.

Retention and control

Inactive browser hashes are removed after 365 days, and per-browser daily deduplication records are removed after 90 days. Aggregate counts contain no browser identifiers and are retained. You can delete or block the cookie using your browser settings. The counter does not register visits when a supported Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control signal is enabled; only the public aggregate is displayed.

Why the number is an estimate

Using another device or browser, deleting the cookie, or returning after its identifier expires can count as another unique visitor. Shared browsers can count as one. Known automated agents are filtered, but automated traffic cannot be eliminated completely. The total starts from deployment; previous website visits are not added.

What is outside this measurement

Measurement is restricted to the public Harrison company pages. The existing Word, SaaS, school ERP, portal, admin and other application areas are not included. Enquiry forms are separate: the information you choose to submit is saved so Harrison can review and respond to your request. Hosting-provider server logs, if enabled, are separate from this visitor counter.
